The vibrant colors and ancient tall ships of Nyhavn makes it the most famous destination of Copenhagen. - Marvel at the views from Christiansborg
Christiansborg Palace is a dwelling to the Danish Parliament and Royal Reception Rooms. There might be some fee to explore Christiansborg, but the entrance to the tower and church are free. The highest viewpoint of Copenhagen is the Christiansborg Tårnet which showcases stunning views in all directions. You can even see across the water to Sweden.

Tourists from all over the world desperately wander around to have a look at the most famous resident of Copenhagen, Hans Christian’s Andersen’s The Little Mermaid. She is perched on her rock, the sculpture is much smaller than you might expect. Besides her, there is the Gefion Fountain which showcases the mythical Gefion and her oxen. Behind the fountain is Kastellet. It is a fortress in a shape of a star which was built in the 1600s in order to defend the city. The visitors are free to stroll the grounds, its historic architecture and the windmill.
