Irvine Regional Park

The Irvine Regional Park, Anaheim is surrounded by a grove of Sycamore trees and heritage Oak. The rolling foothills that surround the park hold a wide variety of wildlife. The ambience for leisure activities is enhanced by the trees and shaded turf space. Bisecting the park is the Santiago Creek and the centre of the park is decorated with a pond housing a stone work waterfall.

The 477 acre Anaheim Park has a number of barbecues and tables located conveniently across the park. Restrooms and parking facilities too dot the park. Some of the other facilities include half a dozen playgrounds, 2 horse shoe pits, a lagoon, 4 softball fields, and volleyball courts.

If your enthusiasm revolves around equestrian sports, you are bound to enjoy the 4 mile trail skirting the perimeter of the park. The scenic views and its own natural setting is your bonus. The park authorities have thoughtfully provided for parking the horse trailers and that need not be a cause for worry.

The Irving Regional Park, Anaheim also doubles up as an ideal spot for group picnics. There are three specific areas allocated for this purpose. However, you will need to obtain a permit sufficiently ahead of the planned date (generally a little over 2 weeks).
