Honda Center

The Honda Center Anaheim is an indoor stadium located in California's Anaheim city for Anaheim CA travel. Previously it was known as the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim. Originally named as the Anaheim Arena, the stadium was completed in the year 1993 at a $123 million cost. From October 1993, Arrowhead Water got the naming rights for 100 years after paying $15 million. Later Honda acquired the naming rights for 15 years.

This indoor stadium opened on 19th June in the year 1993 with a concert by Barry Manilow as the first event. After that this arena has played host to various events like the Finals of Stanley Cup in 2003 and 2007.

A number of major WWE events have been held in the Honda Center Anaheim including the WrestleMania XVI, WrestleMania XII and the Royal Rumble. Various concerts held here are David Bowie, Aerosmith, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, Shakira, U2, Madonna, Metallica, Britney Spears, Shania Twain, Beyonce, Barbara Streisand, Destiny's Child, NSYNC, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus, The Rolling Stones, etc.

The Honda Center Anaheim was Anaheim Bullfrog's home arena from 1993-99 and the Anaheim Piranhas from 1996-97. The arena has also played host 3 times to the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, the Frozen Four in 1999 and the 2008 Big West Conference men's basketball tournament.

Located northeast from Angel Stadium, the Honda Center lies 3 miles from Disneyland. It is also located at a walkable distance from the Amtrak and Metrolink's Anaheim Station. The seating capacity of the arena is upto 17,174 and the building has 84 luxury suites.

The company which operates the arena, LLC, its primary tenants the Ducks and the Anaheim Arena Management is owned by billionaire Henri Samueli who is the chairman of Broadcom. He has great flexibility in recruiting new tenants and scheduling events in the Honda Center Anaheim.
