The Buena Park Mall started in Anaheim in 1976. In the beginning the Mall had anchor stores such as May Co, JC Penney and sported a number of food courts, jewelry shops candy and shoe shops. But, over the years the mall has declined steadily and the original anchors have left the mall. Sears was among the last of the original anchors to leave Buena Park in recent times. However, bargain hunters will be pleased with the presence of outlets such as Ross's and Barry's.

As with a number of malls across the nation, the economic downturn has only added to the woes of the Buena Park Mall.
