
When was the Crystal Cathedral in Anaheim constructed
The Crystal Cathedral was constructed by the renowned architect Philip Johnson between 1977 and 1980. As many as 10,000 rectangular glass panes were used in the construction of this religious building, which offers a great level of resistance to earthquake.
The building has the capacity to accommodate nearly 2,900 worshippers at a time. It is affiliated with the reformed church of America and holds a construction price of $17 million to its credit. It acts as the home for Crystal Cathedral Ministries located worldwide and hosts a number of events throughout the year.
