Anaheim Arsenal were the first basketball team of the city

It was during the 2006-07 season of the NBA Development League that the Anaheim Arsenal was introduced as the first basketball team from the city. The team chose the Anaheim Convention Center as the venue to play their home games.

However, for the season of 2009-2010, the team has been shifted to Springfield in Massachusetts and is now known as the Springfield Armor. For its three seasons at Anaheim Convention Center, the team was not able to score any playoff.
