The Continental Room, established in 1925, is Orange County's oldest and still-serving watering hole. It's renowned for the best night scene in town, the most happening place, with music, bands, lively DJs and dancing, and some of the finest bartenders that ever mixed a highball.
It's no great shakes from the outside, but it's the inside that matters. The interior takes you back in time, reminiscent of the lush boudoirs of yesteryear. You almost hold your breath for the Madame's dramatic entrance. There's a minimum charge and the drinks are steep, but a visit is well worth it. And no surprise the Continental has won accolades:
Best of 2008: Best Bar to get thrown out of
Best of 2007: Best Neighborhood Bar/North OC
The Lost Bar is expensive Ca Disney fixation, but the drinks are good. It's another classy, SoCal watering hole with great snacks and good food. The Lost Bar is a hop skip and a jump from Disney Park or you can take the monorail if you've really built up a thirst. Atmosphere-wise, it's pretty laid-back.
