The Orange County Convention Center is currently ranked 2nd in the United States in terms of prime exhibit space behind McCormick Place in Chicago. Some interesting statistics are as follows:

- Total Meeting Space 479,190 sq. ft.
- Additional space: Valencia Room 62,182 sq. ft.
- Auditorium 2,643 seats
- Lecture Theatre 160 seats
- Covers 74 meeting rooms

It is Anaheim's biggest and most important convention center situated right across the Disneyland resort. Recently renovated, a great part of the convention center boasts the latest facilities. Way back in 1967 the basketball arena opened, closely followed by the conventional hall. The hall has since had three huge expansions, and presently encompasses over 800,000 square feet (74,000 m2) of floor space. The most recent renovation was from 1998-2000.

The biggest exhibition conducted at the Convention Center in recent years was the Winter NAMM Show which had 1560 exhibitors displaying the latest and most sophisticated music equipment. It's 88,100 attendees - all in the trade exclusively - broke all records at the 2008 show. NAMM has a long-term lease that expires in 2010. With obvious renewal in mind, NAMM is pressurizing the City of Anaheim to expand further the Center's facilities and improve them.

But NAMM is not the only body to whom the Anaheim Convention Center his home to their exhibitions. Anime Expo is regularly held there, one of the largest annual public events.

Another regular is Blizzard Entertainment with holds BizzCon at the Center. Its requirement increased to three conference halls in 2008 from two in 2005. Tickets are sold within minutes of being released.

The Center has been home base of the Anaheim Amigos American Basketball Association team. It was also the chosen venue for Men's Wrestling at the 1984 Summer Olympics.

The Center is one of the star attractions of the City of Anaheim.
